Atwater police investigating weekend shooting
Atwater police on Monday asked for the public’s help identifying the people responsible for opening fire over the weekend in a residential neighborhood.
Multiple shots were fired around 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the 2800 block of Determine Drive, Lt. Samuel Joseph said.
No one was injured, but three vehicles were struck by gunfire, police said.
Investigators seized several casings at the scene for evidence.
“The detectives have identified possible suspects in the case but are hoping for more information from the public,” Joseph said.
Police believe at least one person was targeted specifically in the attack, but, officers said, the victims in the case have not cooperated with investigators.
