Two suspects from Merced County were arrested early Saturday morning after an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven in Pismo Beach.

Officers responded to the convenience store after receiving a report of shoplifting at 1:25 a.m., according to a news release.

There, they learned that one of the suspects had pointed a handgun at the clerk.

Shortly after, with the help of city license plate reading cameras, officers located the subjects’ vehicle in the downtown area and arrested them.

Two men were taken into custody and booked at San Luis Obispo County Jail, while two female subjects were interviewed and released.

Nathaniel Ray Lemus, 20, of Los Banos was booked with $109,000 bail on suspicion of robbery, carrying a loaded firearm, committing a felony with a firearm, resisting/obstructing/delaying a peace officer and four out-of-county misdemeanor warrants.

Rigoberto Cisneroslopez, 32, of Winton was booked on $50,000 bail on suspicion of being a prohibited person in possession of firearm ammunition, bringing a controlled substance into a jail facility, possessing a controlled substance for sale, disobeying a court order and shoplifting.

Officers from the Arroyo Grande and Grover Beach police departments, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office and the California Highway Patrol assisted in locating the suspects.
