Los Banos shooting leaves three wounded; suspect arrested, police say
Los Banos police have arrested a Dos Palos teenager for an alleged shooting that wounded three men just after midnight on Saturday.
Reis Willis, 19, was detained after trying to flee the area of the shooting, which occurred at a bar on the 500 block of I Street in Los Banos, police said in a Facebook post.
Officers from the Los Banos Police Department responded to reports of a shooting following a disturbance at around 12:14 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers located three adult men who had sustained gunshot injuries. All three were transported to Modesto-area hospitals. One is believed to have sustained life-threatening wounds, police said.
The gun believed to be involved in the shooting also was recovered, according to the Facebook post. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is encouraged to contact the Los Banos Police Department at 209-827-7070.
Los Banos police credited the Merced County Sheriff’s Office for assistance with the investigation.
