The Merced Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a shoplifting suspect alleged to have stolen from Best Buy in Merced several times.

The suspect allegedly shoplifted more than $2,000 worth of merchandise over several days, according to a Merced Police Department Facebook post, which includes a photograph of the person.

The thefts happened Feb. 11-12 and March 3, the post said.

The suspect allegedly fled the Best Buy parking lot, 3125 R St., in a silver sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Malibu.
