Los Banos police arrest teen allegedly tied to string of burglaries

Los Banos police have arrested an 18-year-old for his alleged connection to a string of burglaries in Merced County.

Julian Garcia recently was taken into custody after tips led to an investigation by Los Banos police detectives, according to a police Facebook post.

During the investigation, Garcia was found in possession of several items confirmed as stolen property. A photo provided by police shows smartphones, watches, sunglasses, wireless earbuds and a handgun.

Police believe he may be connected to seven open burglary cases in the Los Banos area.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue working to identify additional victims.
