Los Banos gang unit arrests convicted felon on gun, drug charges
Officers from the Los Banos Police Department’s gang unit arrested a 43-year-old convicted felon on gun and drug charges on Wednesday.
Jose Sainz, who is on active parole from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, was arrested after officers found a rifle and drugs at a home in the 1200 block of Maryland Avenue, police said.
During a search of the residence, officers found a bolt-action rifle and about 10 ounces of crystal meth, according to a Los Banos Police Department Facebook post.
Police said they also found indications of drug sales.
Sainz was booked into the Los Banos Police Department Jail with no bail due to a parole hold, the post said. Anyone with information about the case can contact gang unit Officer Fernandez at 209-827-2538 or gang unit Officer Laguna at 209-827-2512.
