A 72-year-old man has been arrested on drug charges after being found with a pound of crystal methamphetamine, the Merced County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.
Sheriff’s deputies were patrolling in the area of a Livingston hotel Saturday evening when they spotted a subject who had a felony warrant.
They found the suspect, Ronald Killman, in a vehicle near the Sure Stay Best Western on Joseph Gallo Drive, according to a Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
Deputies, with help from the Sheriff’s Office helicopter, conducted a stop and searched Killman’s vehicle.
The search revealed Killman had 16 ounces of crystal meth and items indicating the sale of narcotics, the post said.
Killman was arrested and booked into the Merced County Jail for felony possession of narcotics with the intent to sell and illegal transport/sale of a controlled substance, along with his warrants.
