Man stabbed outside Merced motel, police say
A man was stabbed outside the Motel 6 on V Street on Monday evening, according to the Merced Police Department.
Officers were called to the scene of the reported stabbing at around 5 p.m., police said.
When they arrived, officers found a man with a single stab wound to the left abdomen. The man tried to treat the wound himself.
An investigation revealed the stabbing happened at about 4:15 p.m. near a trash can close to the victim’s motel room, police said.
There is no identification of the suspect.
