Livingston police make arrest after man survives attempted murder-suicide

A Livingston man who shot himself during an attempted murder-suicide was arrested on homicide charges after being released from a hospital, police say.

Livingston Police Department officials on Monday provided updated information on the April 12 fatal shooting.

Officers were called to the scene at an apartment complex on the 1100 block of Olive Avenue at about 1:50 p.m.

They found a woman dead and another person suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The man, in critical condition, was airlifted to a hospital.

After being released from the hospital on Monday afternoon, Jose Bulmaro Pantaleonramirez was booked into the Merced County Jail.

Livingston police did not specify the nature of the relationship between Pantaleonramirez and the female victim.
