Mariposa Sheriff’s Office finds man wanted in connection with Sunday night shooting
Deputies with the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office have apprehended a man wanted for attempted murder in connection with a shooting in the Coulterville area Sunday night.
Keith Capron, who is suspected of shooting someone twice in the head with a handgun, was taken in to custody Monday morning, the Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
Capron is originally from Vermont, the post said, and has only been known to be in the Coulterville area for a short period of time.
Capron fled the scene of the shooting in a stolen vehicle, the post said.
The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office did not provide any update on the alleged victim’s condition.
