Los Banos police gang unit makes arrest after finding loaded gun on convicted felon
A 23-year-old Santa Nella man has been arrested on gun charges, according to Los Banos police.
Hector Martinez Jr. is a convicted felon who is prohibited from possessing a firearm and/or ammunition, a Los Banos police Facebook post said.
On July 9 at about 3:30 p.m., the Police Department’s Gang Unit was on patrol in the 1100 block of the Rail Trail. Officers came into contact with Martinez and found he was on searchable probation.
A search of Martinez revealed he was in possession of a loaded, concealed handgun. Martinez was arrested for multiple felony weapons violations and was booked into the Los Banos Police Department Jail.
