Pair in taco truck robbed at gunpoint by two males
Merced police are investigating the robbery of a parked taco truck, reported about 9 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Yosemite Parkway and Parsons Avenue.
The two victims told officers two males wearing gray hooded sweatshirts approached their truck, pulled a gun and demanded money, according to a Merced police press release.
Victims said the robbers were Latino and spoke Spanish. In addition to cash, the robbers also took cellphones from both victims and a wallet from one of them.
The robbers were last seen running toward 21st Street and the Yosemite Parkway. Police are reviewing video-surveillance footage from the area.
