Clerk beaten, robbed in Livingston

A store clerk in Livingston was beaten and robbed at gunpoint Saturday, the Police Department reported.

Livingston police responded at 12:09 p.m. Saturday to the Amigos Market, 1441 Crowell St., where the clerk was found bleeding from his head, officers said in a news release.

Police learned two people entered the store wearing dark clothing and some type of disguise over their faces. Officers said one of the suspects pistol-whipped the clerk. Both suspects fled the store on foot, running in an unknown direction.

It was unclear exactly how much money was taken during the robbery.

There were no reports of shots being fired, and no one else was injured, police said.

An update on the clerk’s condition was not available Sunday, but his injuries were not described as life-threatening.

Officers said the suspects may be between 20 and 30 years old, but more detailed descriptions were not available Sunday.

Officers are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Detective Patrick Radke, the lead investigator in the case, at (209) 394-7916. Tips are confidential and callers may remain anonymous.
