Teen shot to death in Los Banos

A male teenager was shot to death Sunday evening in Los Banos, police have reported.

Details are preliminary, and no suspects are in custody. The victim’s name has not been released by law enforcement, pending notification of family or next-of-kin.

The shooting was reported at 6:49 p.m. at Dos Amigos Park in the 2200 block of San Luis Street. The circumstances and motive remain under investigation.

Several subjects were seen leaving the area after the shooting. After the shooting, the victim ran about a half block to San Luis Street and Ward Road, where he was found by Los Banos police.
