Man, 19, dropped off at Livingston clinic after being stabbed; suspects sought

A young man was hospitalized Tuesday after he was stabbed several times and dropped off at a health care clinic in Livingston, the Police Department reported.

The victim, identified by police as 19-year-old Jessie Medina, was flown to a regional hospital and is expected to survive the attack, Chief Ruben Chavez confirmed.

Medina was bleeding when he arrived at Horizons Unlimited Health Care, 2275 F St., Livingston, about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Chavez.

“The victim provided minimal information, and detectives are following up on the information given,” Chavez said. “It’s undetermined at this time who was responsible and where the incident occurred.”

Investigators think the attack happened somewhere outside Livingston city limits.

No arrests have been made, and no suspect descriptions have been released. The motive for the attack remains unclear, and Chavez said any comments on a possible motive would only be speculation.

Police are requesting the public’s help in determining exactly what happened. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Patrick Radke at (209) 394-7916. Tips are confidential, and callers can remain anonymous.
