Police: Gang member sought on gun, drug charges in Merced County
Merced County anti-gang investigators are seeking the public’s help locating a man they described as a known gang member with a lengthy criminal history who is wanted on weapon and drug charges.
The Merced Multi-Agency Gang Task Force, Merced Police Department and the Gang Violence Suppression Unit conducted a joint investigation that earlier this year led them to the home of 30-year-old Hileberto Valtierra in the 1200 block of Washington Street in Le Grand.
“Located at the residence were several stolen firearms, methamphetamine and a large amount of marijuana,” the Police Department said in a news release.
Valtierra is wanted for felony possession of firearms, possession of methamphetamine and marijuana for sale and gang enhancements.
Anyone with information regarding Valtierra should call Officer Moses Nelson or Sgt. Rodney Court of the Merced Multi-Agency Gang Task Force at (209) 385-7383 ext 4973. Tips are confidential and callers may remain anonymous.
