Man shot in Dos Palos, suspects sought
Police are looking for the person who shot a man late Monday on Wilson Avenue in Dos Palos.
The man, whose name was not released for safety reasons, suffered a non-life-threatening wound in his buttocks as he ran for cover, Dos Palos Police Chief Barry Mann said.
The shooting was reported around 6:40 p.m. in the 1100 block of Wilson Avenue. Someone opened fire with a 9mm handgun from a vehicle, described as a small to midsize gray or silver sedan. Multiple shots were fired and one round struck the victim, according to police.
No arrests have been made and no descriptions of the shooter have been released.
Police believe the attack could be gang-related.
