Woman punches boyfriend in face — twice — for leaving dog out in rain, Oregon cops say

Irate that her boyfriend left her dog out in the rain, an Oregon woman punched him twice in the face, the Coos County Sheriff’s Department says in a release.

Deputies arrested Melissa Morris, 38, of Myrtle Point on suspicion of domestic assault at 6 p.m. Dec. 31, the department says.

The man, who had a welt and scratch on his eyebrow, told deputies that Morris punched him twice in the face while they talked, the release says.

Morris told deputies she punched him for leaving her dog out while it was raining, the department says.

Deputies arrested her and booked her into the Coos County Jail, the release says.
