Maskless man booted by McDonald’s ran to Walmart to steal panties, CT cops say
A man asked to leave a McDonald’s in Connecticut because he had no face mask hurled a rock through a window — but state police say he didn’t stop there, The Hartford Courant reports.
Jason Daddario, 37, of Danielson then ran to a nearby Walmart, where he stole two pairs of panties, the Associated Press reported.
Daddario tried to run away from police summoned by McDonald’s employees when he exited the Walmart, but surrendered when officers threatened to release a K9, WTIC reported.
The incident took place about 8 p.m. May 1 in Brooklyn, Connecticut, The Hartford Courant reported. Daddario agreed to leave the McDonald’s after being asked but then broke a window, police said.
“A man threw a rock I am assuming, a big rock at my window, front lobby and it broke, shattered everywhere,” the restaurant manager said in a 911 call, WTIC reported.
Daddario was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief and breach of peace, the Associated Press reported.
Connecticut state officials have required people to wear face masks in public to try to curb the spread of coronavirus.
