Two children were among five people dead after a house caught fire in Georgia, officials told news outlets.

DeKalb County Fire & Rescue said 10 people were inside the home when the blaze started early Tuesday, Dec. 14. Five people died, and three others were hurt, Capt. Jaeson Daniels told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Firefighters said they responded at about 12:20 a.m. to a home on Janet Lane, WXIA reported. The area is near Decatur and roughly 13 miles east of downtown Atlanta.

As of about 6:30 a.m., firefighters hadn’t shared the names or ages of those who died. Officials also were still investigating the cause of the fire, WSB-TV reported.

DeKalb County Fire & Rescue didn’t immediately respond to McClatchy News’ requests for information on Dec. 14.

This is a developing story.
