Original story:

A father of six has been missing for days after he was last seen at a truck stop in Arizona.

Beau Riddle was last seen on Friday, July 22, at the Pilot Truck Stop near Littlefield, Arizona, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team said in a Facebook post.

Riddle, 49, of Layton, Utah, was driving his truck and pulling a trailer for his job when he stopped near the Utah-Arizona border, according to a news release from Paul Murphy, a spokesperson for the family.

In his last message to his employer, he said he was having a nervous breakdown and was having issues with his truck because of the heat, the release says.

His manager was trying to get Riddle a hotel and arrange for another driver to take the trailer to Idaho, the release says. He was last heard from at 4:47 p.m.

His trailer was found abandoned the following day and his truck was found on Sunday hidden behind storage trailers near the truck stop where he was last seen, Murphy said.

Inside his truck, clothes, an empty wallet and other things were thrown in the vehicle, according to his family.

“Beau was a perfectionist and compulsively kept everything clean and in order,” Kim Riddle, Beau’s wife, said in a July 26 news release. “The back door of the truck was down and clothes were even found in the bed of the truck. Even when Beau is suffering from anxiety, he is still obsessed with keeping everything in place.”

Authorities do not suspect foul play, a Monday, July 25, release states from the family’s spokesperson.

But his family has concerns.

“I’m worried there’s been foul play. I’m cautiously optimistic but it doesn’t look good,” Beau’s father John Riddle said.

Search and rescuers are looking for Riddle in the areas where his car and the trailer were found. Dogs were used to look for the man on Tuesday, July 26, his family said.

Riddle has also been entered as a national missing person by the Layton Police Department in Utah.

“I just wish I could hear anything about my husband,” Kim said. “I’m literally trying to hold things together and stay positive. I appreciate everyone who want to help.”
