Food recalled from Target stores in 50 states for a possibly ‘serious’ problem
Six lots of burrito bowl blends sold under Target’s Good & Gather brand were recalled from stores nationwide Wednesday for a problem that can be an annoyance or deadly.
The Good & Gather Southwest-Style Burrito Bowl Blends shouldn’t have shrimp, but manufacturer One Frozen said in its recall notice, “three consumer complaints were received indicating the possible presence of shrimp in this product.”
As the recall notice says: “People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to shellfish run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.”
This involves 12-ounce bags from lot Nos. L5055-1, L5055-2, L5055-3, L5055-4, L5055-5, and L5055-6, each of which has a best by date of 8/24/2026.
If you have this blend and are certain no one with a shellfish allergy will eat it, carry on as normal. Otherwise, throw it away or reach out to Target at 800-444-0680 for a refund.
