Here’s why a Miami company recalled its ‘sexual enhancement’ chocolates
A Miami company recalled one lot of what it markets as “sex chocolates” because the company didn’t tell buyers all that’s inside the chocolates.
JXK Enterprises’, run by Jacqueline Kazemi out of a rented office space at 2125 Biscayne Blvd., recalled Boner Bears Sex Chocolates not because they don’t work, but because they contain sildenafil. Sildenafil is what makes Viagra work, but it also must be prescribed. These chocolates were sold online with no prescription.

“Sildenafil is approved for use only under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional for the treatment of erectile dysfunction,” JXK’s FDA-posted recall notice states. “Products containing undeclared sildenafil may pose serious health risks.
“Sildenafil can interact with nitrates found in certain prescription drugs, such as nitroglycerin, and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Individuals with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease are at increased risk due to potential interactions.”
Lot No. BB21125 with an expiration date of “02/2026” was recalled this week.
If you experience any medical problems from Boner Bears chocolates, notify a medical professional. Then, notify the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program either via the website or by calling 800-332-1088.
Questions can be sent to JXK Enterprises at compliance@elyxr.com or by calling 954-281-2459, Monday through Friday, noon to 9 p.m., Eastern time.
