On Friday at 11:21 a.m. an updated heat advisory was released by the NWS San Diego CA in effect until 8 p.m. The advisory is for San Bernardino County Mountains, Riverside County Mountains and San Diego County Mountains.
The NWS says to expect, "High temperatures of 82 to 95 degrees below 6500 ft."

This advisory is in effect until 8 p.m.
Tips from the NWS for staying safe during a heat wave
- Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids.
- Seek cool shelter: Opt for an air-conditioned room to stay comfortable.
- Stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
- Protect your little ones and furry friends: Never leave young children and pets alone in vehicles, especially during hot weather when car interiors can become dangerously hot in a matter of minutes.
- Take extra precautions outdoors: If you work or spend time outside, be sure to take additional safety measures.
- Select the ideal time: If possible, move strenuous activities to early morning or evening for more favorable conditions.
- Recognize warning signs: Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
- Dress appropriately: Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing to stay comfortable.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. In an emergency, call 911.
