Merced’s spring heat will lessen. Here’s when and what to expect
Merced County has seen record-breaking high temperatures in March, but things are about to change.
The heat wave saw temperatures as high as 93 degrees this month, but next week residents will see some relief.
According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected to move into the Central Valley on Tuesday.
“Just when we think the weather has settled, it keeps us guessing!” Merced County Office of Emergency Services said in a Facebook post Tuesday.
According to the NWS seven-day forecast for Merced, there’s a 40% chance of rain Tuesday with a high of 68 degrees expected. Rain is likely Tuesday night, with a low around 52.
There’s a 30% chance of rain Wednesday, with a high of 68 degrees expected.
According to the 10-day forecast on weather.com, temperatures will remain in the high 70s through April 9.
