Beach hazards statement issued for Bay Area Shorelines for Tuesday and Wednesday

At 1:42 p.m. on Monday, the NWS San Francisco CA released a beach hazards statement valid from Tuesday 9 a.m. until Wednesday 9 a.m. The statement is for Coastal North Bay Including Point Reyes National Seashore, San Francisco Peninsula Coast, Northern Monterey Bay and Big Sur as well as San Francisco County.
The NWS informs, "Strong northwest winds will generate very rough seas including strong rip currents at area beaches."
"Dangerous conditions are forecast along the shoreline. Hazards include strong rip currents and large breaking waves," adds the NWS. "Stay off of jetties, piers, rocks, and other waterside infrastructure. Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous surf and NEVER turn your back on the ocean."
This statement is in effect until Wednesday at 9 a.m.
