On Saturday at 1:39 p.m. the NWS San Diego CA issued an updated beach hazards statement valid from Sunday 11 a.m. until Tuesday 11 p.m. for San Diego County Coastal Areas and Orange County Coastal.

"Minor coastal flooding due to high astronomical tides of 7 to 7.5 feet and surf to 3 to 5 feet," can be anticipated according to the NWS. "A 3 foot south swell (from 190 degrees) at 13-15 seconds will lead to surf 3-5 feet at south-facing beaches. Elsewhere, surf of 2-4 feet is expected."

"Areas of flooding from tidal overflow in low-lying areas, boardwalks, beach parking lots, and beach adjacent streets. Beach erosion. Highest impacts expected during high tides in the evening," says the NWS. "Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions."

This statement is in effect until Tuesday at 11 p.m.
