UPDATE: Fire weather watch for Modoc County for Friday - increased fire danger

At 12:13 p.m. on Wednesday, the NWS Medford OR issued an updated fire weather watch valid for Friday between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. for Modoc County Except for the Surprise Valley.
Winds are forecasted to be southwest 12 to 17 mph with gusts 25 to 30 mph and humidity 7 to 12%.
"Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly," explains the NWS.
This watch is in effect until Friday at 8 p.m.
According to the NWS, a fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
