Krystal Ingram: A doctor who goes beyond what is required

You hear every day about the horrible doctors in Merced. But do we ever hear of the good, maybe even great doctors?

I have a doctor who is a wound-care specialist who used to be a heart surgeon. My mom is being treated by him for a bedsore she received while under the care of Mercy Hospital. With the medications my mom is on and her advanced deteriorated condition it is supremely hard for her to heal. This doctor however is accomplishing that.

Not only does he care about the patient, he cares about the patient’s family. After a particularly rough time for my mother and myself, he took the time to call me and ask about my well being. He is not getting paid to look into how I am feeling, yet he made it part of his day to make sure I am holding up under the circumstance. Dr. Shahroukh A. Bakhshay, ardiac and thoracic surgery, hyperbarics/wound care is indeed a rare find.
