Peggy Tilley: A shocking visit to Lake McClure
We drove down to see the water level at Barrett Cove and, boy!, what a shock. The marina is gone, of course, and at the end of the boat ramp a large piece of the old bridge is exposed. Who knew all that was under the water? We have been over that area for years in our boat, trolling fishing lines, totally unaware of what lay beneath. It is hard to imagine what another summer of no water is going to do to the local businesses that rely on lake traffic.
