Paul Pierce: Waiting for Measure V’s promised road repairs

Re “It’s really up to us to fix our roads” (Letters, Nov.4, 2016): So when does the fixing begin? All I’ve seen is a city worker with a bag of asphalt, a shovel and a heavy boot pounding down the gravel in the thousands of potholes over and over again.

I didn’t vote for yet another worthless tax increase, but I’m still paying for more of nothing with an emptier pocketbook to show for it. I want to know when the repairs will begin.

Paul Pierce, Atwater
