John Huerta: Earthquake’s impact being felt in America

For any Mexican-American who has a relative who lived or died in the recent earthquake in Mexico, the country needs help. There were many people who lived in the country who were hurt and it might behard for them to recover. The earthquake came at about the time of Hurricane Irma’s impact on the Caribbean countries and the United States. But the earthquake has had a huge impact on the people of Mexico, as well as on the relatives who live here in the United States.

Editor’s note: As of Monday, the death toll from the magnitude 8.1 earthquake that struck west of Mexico was 96. Help The Children, Global Giving and Catholic Relief Services are all accepting donations for those in Mexico impacted by the earthquake and Hurricane Irma.
