Susan Graham: Espinoza’s actions are racist, unsuited to an elected official

Thank you to the Merced Sun-Star for publishing “A video shared by Merced County elected official is anti-Jewish, expert confirms” (Front page, Sept. 16). Merced County Supervisor Rodrigo Espinoza admits to posting an anti-Semitic video on his Facebook page, but says he suddenly has no recollection of the video and has refused to remove it at the request of those of us in Merced’s Jewish community. The actions of Espinoza are racist in nature and unfitting of a public official. There is no room for this kind of hatred in our community.
