Wayne Eisenhart: Merced can help stamp out domestic violence in our midst

October is recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Merced County. To raise awareness of domestic violence on the community, Valley Crisis Center will have its Eighth Annual Peace For Families marches:

▪ Merced: Oct. 4 at 5:30 p.m., assembling at Courthouse Park and marching to Applegate Park.

▪ Los Banos: Oct. 26 at 5:30 p.m., assembling at Pacheco Park and marching to the Los Banos Community Center.

I invite all residents of Merced County to participate in one of these events, to show support for the victims of domestic violence and to affirm that violence in the home has no place in our communities.

Wayne Eisenhart, President, Valley Crisis Center board, Merced
