Joseph A. Lara: Trump’s defense of Nazis proves he’s a racist

President Trump made it crystal clear that he sympathizes with white supremacists, KKK and neo-Nazis. He stated that he had watched “very closely” the “peaceful, quiet” torch-lit march at Charlottsville, Va., by the hate groups. He failed to mention that they were chanting “Jews will not replace us,” “white lives matter,” and the 1940s Nazi slogan, “blood and soil” while carrying Nazi flags.

He falsely stated the “alt-left” group had attacked the hate groups; that both sides were to blame for the violence. He said there were “very fine” people on both sides. What President Trump has done is make it clear that we have a racist president. He is morally unfit to be president for many reasons. He should be impeached and removed from office as soon as possible.
