Peggy Van Der Horst: Why can’t you get an electrician in Merced?

I’ve always tried to use local businesses. But good luck in getting an electrician to come to your house if the job is not big enough.

An electrical outlet blew in my kitchen. Not a big money maker, to be sure. But it still needs to be fixed. I called all the local electricians and not one called me back. One electrician I did talk to was going to come the next day, early. By mid-day he had not shown up. I called and left a message to inquire if he was going to come. I never got a call-back.

I called approximately six local electrical companies and left messages. I guess now I will have to learn how to be an electrician as no one is interested – or professional enough – to call back. Very disappointing. Finally got one in Turlock. Good to know that all the electricians are so busy they do not need my business.
