Eric and Erin Hamm: An opportunity to show your love for Merced

Do you Love Merced? Have you been looking for a way to serve in your community? Last April, we had over 1,200 volunteers participate in our Love Merced event. Love Merced returns Saturday, April 18.

You can volunteer to help clean our parks and bike paths, even neighborhoods and schools. If you have a truck and can volunteer to haul trash from some of our job sites, we could use your help! Or you can bake cookies for our firefighters or volunteer much needed helping in building a community garden. Those are just a few of your options! A complete list of projects and more information can be found at lovemerced.com.

Love Merced kicks off at 8:30 a.m. at the Merced Fairgrounds. Most of the projects will be completed by noon. You can sign up for a project at lovemerced.com. Many of the projects are kid-friendly and offer an opportunity to instill a sense of obligation to serve one’s community in your children. Our family will be there. We hope to see you there, too!
