Clark McCall: Indiana out of step with principles of our nation

The intolerance inherent in the Indiana law to grant legal cover to anti-gay discrimination is out of harmony with the civil and religious freedom our country was founded upon. The principle underlying all of our associations is called the golden rule. We are to relate to others as we would have them relate to us.

Once again we see the financial persecution that would result in denying the Constitutional rights of all citizens to purchase life’s necessities. In this legislation we find good people trying to make other people good, as they perceive this virtue, through the laws of the state.

Clark McCall, Merced
