Carmelo Spada: Beware of pickpockets ... and presidents
As a youngster growing up in New York City, I often rode the elevators rising from the subways into Grand Central Station. Those elevators carried thousands of people from all different walks of life. What brought the image to mind was thinking of our president’s accomplishments in his first year in office. One bill passed – tax reform (for the rich) and a shutdown of the government costing us millions.
Now back to the elevators. On all four walls were brass placards stating “Beware of pickpockets.” All us of citizens who voted for or against this administration have had our pockets picked.
