I got great medical care in Merced

With Thanksgiving still on my mind, it’s a perfect time to thank those who involved in my recent knee surgery. The most important is Dr. Samuel Tacke. I was lucky to have this outstanding surgeon. Mercy Medical Center’s Total Joint Program Steps Class educated me on what to expect with surgery and how to prepare. Thanks also to the pre-op, post-op and 6th floor staff for the excellent care I received before and after surgery. Everyone treated me as if I was their only patient.

After Mercy, I went to Anberry Transitional Care for rehab – an outstanding facility. The nurses were always ready and willing to help me no matter what time of day or night. The rooms, beds, linens and clothes were always clean and the food was excellent. Doctors Timothy Johnston, Larry Traylor and Muhammad Shabbir were always available. I had therapy daily and the staff of physical and occupational therapists are dedicated to getting their patients on the road to recovery.

Thanks to Mercy Home Care, which provided physical and occupational therapy three times a week until I transitioned to Rascal Creek Physical Therapy where I encountered Heidi and Tony Hernandez. Their knowledgeable staff are always fine-tuning the exercises and they stay close by to make sure patients are exercising properly. Thanks to my daughter, Mara, for the best any mother could want.

Carol Salmeri, Merced
