Jack Lemen: We’re not mind-readers, so use your turn signals
It never fails to amaze me the number of people driving who have failed to install turn signals or brakes on their cars. Surely they have them, but might not have the mental capacity to know how to use them. The number of individuals who fail to use them is increasing at an exponential rate. Running stop signs seems to be a game; not using turn signals appears to be a sport, begging someone to dare to try to figure out what the next move will be.
I know the majority of drivers properly use the signals and tools provided. Still, there is a growing propensity to test the reflexes of others. Common sense and courtesy should dictate that all drivers use the resources provided in their vehicles to give others a clue about what they might be thinking. Nobody is a mind reader. Give us a chance. The next time it happens you may the one on the short end of the stick.
