Alice Beasley: After her fall, she realizes runs rampant in Merced
Thank you to all the kind and considerate people who stopped to help me Monday when I fell on G Street between Park Avenue and North Bear Creek. No thanks to Merced city sidewalks. Thanks to the man who called the ambulance; to the lady who took time to turn around and drive back to offer Kleenex (I was bleeding) and to do whatever else she could; thanks to another lady who ran up to help; and a special thank you to the man who walked with me to Park Avenue Physical Therapy. They let me wash off the blood and sit in cool office until the ambulance arrived.
And I will be forever grateful to the two EMTs from Riggs Ambulance Service. They were so kind and patient dealing with an upset, shook up, stubborn old lady. You are the best.
Lastly, thanks to Mercy Medical Center staff and X-ray dept. I was seen right away, made comfortable, X-rayed then . Dr. John Kanu discussed the X-rays and the course of treatment. The nurses all rest of the staff all were so considerate. Sorry, I didn’t get your names. Kindness is alive and well in Merced!
