Kathy Van Alst: Not only was lost purse found, it was delivered

There truly are good, honest people out there. Yesterday, in my haste, I left my purse (along with cell phone, bank cards, etc.) in a shopping cart in the parking lot of the Atwater Wal-mart. I didn’t realize it until after I got home, nearly six miles away. Driving back to the store I was frantic, thinking there is no way I would get any of my items back. My purse was no longer in the shopping cart, so I ran to customer service and waited in line. Finally I blurted out to an associate: “By any chance did someone turn in a purse?”

Not expecting the answer I got, she said, “Oh yeah. Your family just called. The people who found it brought it back to your house.”

I could not believe it and started to cry. As I walked away, the lady at the counter said, “Oh dear, you are blessed.”

I sure am. Unfortunately, my boys at home didn’t think to get the names of the two amazing people who drove all that way to return all of my items. So I want to say, Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are awesome.
