Leslie McGowan: Providing health care to Livingston for 45 years
Livingston Community Health is one of 1,200 community health centers celebrating National Health Center Week, from Aug. 9-15. During this time, we reflect on our 45 years of service to the greater Livingston community. In addition to offering primary care six days a week, we also offer behavioral health, health education and other supportive services.
We are incredibly proud to have opened our dental clinic in Hilmar, addressing unmet needs for affordable dental services for residents of Stanislaus and Merced counties. While our efforts to promote access to health care coverage continues year round, we will always make services available regardless of ability to pay. We thank local leaders such as Rep. Jim Costa for his support of HR2, providing continued funding for health centers and preventing devastating cuts to staff and services.
The future is bright for Livingston Community Health. We will soon unveil a partnership to bring a school-based health center to Livingston High School. We also support future health care leaders; join our efforts by attending our 3rd Scholarship Fundraiser dinner, Aug. 13 at Hilmar Cheese Co.
For National Health Center Week, we thank our supporters and celebrate our patients, staff and the services we are committed to providing.
