David J. Silva: Iran doesn’t like us and can’t be trusted
These are some of the points in the Iran treaty that make me realize that it’s not a good thing for anyone except Iran. First, the Iranians are allowed to take the soil samples at the nuclear sites. Second, they will have a 24-day notice before inspections of critical sites, and you can hide a lot in 24 days. Third, none of Iran’s neighboring countries are in favor of it. If Israel, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan and other Arab countries are against it, then it is probably not a good thing.
Recently, the Iranians were out in the streets shouting death to Americans and Israelis while burning the American and Israeli flags. That does not sound like someone who wants peace.
There are many secret contracts in the pact that are not being released to the public; not a good sign. We have heard the phrase “how stupid can people be,” well this pact shows just how stupid our State Department can be. This is a case where the lives and well being millions of people are at stake. We must be very careful when we make contracts with countries like Iran. I hope Congress does not approve this treaty.
