Chuck Schultz: Never any trouble in Planada or Le Grand
I live in Le Grand, but travel through Planada daily. I have never had a problem. The merchants are helpful and the people are friendly; they go out of their way to assist me, even though I speak no Spanish.
Yes there are gangs, but I have never seen a gang member that I know of. All of my neighbors are hard-working. There are never people roaming the streets, and very little stealing of property. Both cities put on activities on weekends at the parks to provide entertainment. Last weekend there was a taco contest in Planada to see who made the best tacos. The park was packed.
We are law-abiding people here. Come visit, you will be welcomed with open arms..
