Michael Sofranek: Warnke support includes a number in law enforcement

Those of us who submitted this letter have known and worked with Vern Warnke, candidate for Sheriff Merced. This endorsement of Vern is a testament to the belief that Vern is the best person for the office of Merced County Sheriff. This endorsements represent former sheriff department employees who worked many different departments with in the sheriff’s office.

This endorsements also represent individuals with many different job titles and responsibilities. Every level of the sheriffs department structure is included in this endorsements:

▪ Assistant sheriff of corrections

▪ Dispatch supervisors and dispatchers

▪ Commanders and sergeants in corrections and patrol

▪ Deputy chief coroner and deputy coroner

▪ Detective sergeant and detectives

▪ Sheriffs secretary and support staff from a variety of departments.

Vern Warnke has already shown his administrative ability and his willingness to put the department first with his choice of Sue Norris as under sheriff. Sue is well respected within the law enforcement community of Merced County. These individuals, from their job interactions with Vern Warnke, know he will be a positive force for the sheriffs department and for the people of Merced County.
