Jarred Simmons: At least clerk didn’t cost any lives by defying law

One must ask, what’s the difference between the sheriff of San Francisco violating federal law with the sanctuary city policy resulting in the death of Kate Steinle and Kim Davis violating federal law by refusing to issue same-sex marriage licenses? Both are sworn to uphold the law. However, Davis goes to jail because of her religious beliefs. The sheriff is praised for being compassionate and caring by defending the city’s sanctuary policy.
