Kathy and Flip Hassett: Jim Costa’s experience invaluable

Jim Costa has been a friend of our family for years. He has cared for and seen our Central Valley and Merced City grow and go through both good times and tough times. Throughout those times Jim has consistently participated and supported the wishes and the activities within our community.

1. He successfully fought for, and continues to be a strong supporter of, the UC Merced campus and its development.

2. He continues to promote and support technical training through Merced College as a way to address some of our economic development issues.

3. He has successfully addressed many of the obstacles our military veterans face each day in our community and in this valley.

4. He is frequently in our community and with his “hands on” approach has been able to move forward legislation in Washington DC that supports issues important to our valley – many brought up by our community residents.

5. He was successful in passing a 5-year Farm Bill that keeps Valley agriculture growing.

6. He recently co-introduced new legislation to expedite construction to expand our existing state water storage projects.

Jim Costa’s experience and expertise have proven invaluable to our community and certainly warrants our vote of support. Please vote November 4th and please re-elect Jim Costa for Congress.
