Margaret Herrera Camarena: Vineyard will work for citizens

My husband and I moved to Atwater in 2008 and have been very happy here. However, as Lori Coleman wrote (“Traveling high road takes political courage,” Oct. 27), we have been disheartened by those who tear down their opponents just to build themselves up.

Today I read about signs taken down and tossed in the dirt and new signs for James Vineyard being posted. Does that mean the signs I have seen around town that have fallen down have been taken down by their opposing candidates? I should hope not. I have had the pleasure of knowing James Vineyard for some time as our Neighborhood Watch coordinator. I have found him to be a man of integrity and honesty. He has done so much for the Neighborhood Watch program and I can assure you he will work for the city of Atwater with honesty and integrity.

So, let's stop tearing down our candidates and vote for who will work for the citizens of Atwater, vote for James Vineyard.

Margaret Herrera Camarena, Atwater
